We’re kicking off the year with a series of updates designed to give you more clarity and control over your search results.

This month, we’ve focused on making your dashboard more intuitive and your results more dynamic!

New Dashboard Insight: Top-Clicked Filters

Ever wondered which product colors are most popular in your store? How many shoppers narrow results by price? Or which brands do they prioritize?

Now, you can see the data behind the rank.

We’ve added a heavily requested feature: Top-Clicked Filters. You can now see exactly which filters customers gravitate toward after a specific query.

For example, when someone searches for “batteries,” you can identify whether they’re actually looking for car, motorcycle, or tractor batteries (by identifying which category was filtered the most).

The same applies to brand searches like “Samsung,” where you can instantly see which product lines attract the most interest.

  • Where to find it: Analytics > Top Insights or Phrase Analytics.

“Ask AI” Dashboard Assistant

Searching for LupaSearch integration tips? Trying to find a specific custom rule? Meet the new Ask AI tool.

Instead of digging through menus, just ask and receive immediate (and accurate!) answers to your e-commerce search-related questions.

The AI is trained on our extensive LupaSearch documentation and knowledge base, so it gives you clear answers in seconds.

  • Where to find it: Click the magnifying glass icon in the top-left corner of your dashboard.

Full Transparency for Boosted Results

A.k.a. see why products rank the way they do.

From now on, you won’t have to guess why certain products are outranking others in search results.

Inside the dashboard, you can now view:

  • Active Rules: See the specific logic currently affecting a product’s boost.
  • Phrase Click Boost: Identify which specific items are winning the most clicks.
  • Category Trends: See which sub-categories (like “sandwich bread”) are trending for broader searches.
  • Statistical Filters: Low-performing categories with very few clicks may gradually stop appearing, keeping results relevant and clean.

Smart Category Sorting

The old way: Search categories (that are available at the top of the search results as visual filters) were often sorted by stock volume. If you had 500 types of screws but everyone was looking for the 10 types of drills you had in stock, the screws still took the top spot.

The new way: We’ve introduced Statistical Category Sorting, where ranking is driven by user behavior.

Take a search for “wood” as an example.

Instead of just seeing the largest inventory groups, users will see categories like sauna wood or impregnated wood based on what’s currently trending and getting the most clicks.

This ensures your search results stay relevant year-round, automatically pivoting as demand shifts between seasons.

Strategic “Default” Filters

We’ve added a Default Filter feature to give you more control over broad, high-intent searches.

Usually, if a customer searches for a brand like “Samsung” without clicking any filters, they’re presented with a wide-open list.

Now, you can step in with a pre-set rule.

If a user hasn’t narrowed their search down yet, you can choose to automatically highlight a specific model (like a new release or a high-margin item) as the top result.

It’s a simple way to align customer intent with your specific business priorities.
